Hello Pennsylvania!

A torrential downpour greeted us at the NJ Turnpike.
The 6-hour drive from Wellesley, MA, to Pennsylvania started out drizzly and foggy.  Mr. Sun made an appearance as we stopped for gas and food at New Haven, CT.  Then intermittent showers accompanied us through NYC.  The Cross Bronx Expressway was at its normal bumper-to-bumper crawl.  Then a super-heavy downpour greeted us at the NJ Turnpike reducing speeds to a mere 30 mph.  The skies cleared as we approached Exit 6 to Pennsylvannia.
Just over this bridge is Pennsylvania.
A couple more miles and we're home!

All photos were capture by The Boss through the G2's 14-42mm kit lens.

Heading For Massachusetts

We're off to Massachusetts to pick up my daughter for Summer Break.  And it looks to be another all-morning rain event.

All images were captured with the Panasonic LUMIX G2's 14-42mm kit lens.
I booked us a room at The Sheraton in Framingham, MA.
A jack-knifed tractor trailer caused a 2-mile long backup along the southbound lane of the NJ Turnpike.
Never have I driven across the GWB without any traffic jams.

Almost to the end of I-84 in Connecticut.

A Gentle Reminder To SEPTA Commuters

  • All other electronic devices must be placed on vibrate or mute.
  • Earphones must be used to listen to music; set the volume low so that others cannot hear it.
  • Conversations with other passengers should be short and conducted in a whisper.

I'm off to Boston this morning to pick up my daughter for Summer Break. First year of college is done, three more to go.

Some unsolicited advice to bicycle commuters, please learn proper bike locking techniques from your local bike store. This would prevent loss of your beloved bicycle's components and you walking home in despair.
