Clyde Rabbit
Via Flickr:
"Gosh, Uncle Bugs, you've been everyplace, I guess...except the moon", when Bugs replies that he's been there too, and points to newspaper clipping in the scrapbook.
After the moon story Bugs' nephew looks at him with doubt, prompty Bugs to reply: "Don't you believe me? Why if every word I've said isn't true, I hope I'm run over by a streetcar!", and suddenly a streetcar appears in the room and runs over Bugs. He then looks at his alarmed nephew and says: "I suppose you don't believe I was run over by a streetcar!" ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_Hare-Raising_Tale
Clyde Rabbit made his first appearance in His Hare-Raising Tale. Clyde visits his Uncle Bugs and Bugs narrates about playing baseball (Baseball Bugs), going to the moon (Haredevil Hare), and being in the military. Clyde does not believe Bugs. ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clyde_Rabbit
I am rediscovering just how fabulous Canon's 135L lens is!

It's already Saturday somewhere! So, cheers to a great weekend!
Proprietary Red Wine: Syrah; Zinfandel; Petite Sirah. Uninhibited, even slightly unruly, this signature blend combines rich juicy berry notes, a touch of spice and a commanding backbone. Ignite your free spirit! The mystery and wry humor of the fire-breathing bear, along with serious winemaking, captures the Toasted Head state of mind. Alc 13.5% by vol.

The Pieta (St. Patrick's Cathedral - New York City, New York)
The Pieta was sculpted in 1906 by William Ordway Partiridge. It was inspired by Michelangelo's Pieta in St. Peter's Cathedral at the Vatican in Rome. Photo credit goes to The Boss.
Last night, I was browsing through my September '98 issue of Popular Photography. Lo and behold, pages 84 & 85 featured the same exact scene! The difference being that the featured image was shot with a fish-eye lens.
Jumping to the ads section I couldn't help but notice the absence of DSLRs. B&H featured Kodak's DCS-420/410, DCS-460, DCS-520/EOS-2000. Nikon and Canon had the F-5 and EOS-1N as their flagship bodies, respectively. Do you remember these cameras?

Once They Stood Proudly

*** This is an old upload from 2007. I thought it fitting to bring it to the top to remember that day in 2001. ***
