Rushing home on a Friday afternoon.

Rushing home on a Friday afternoon. a video by jomak14 on Flickr.
Come ride with me on my commute home from Allentown, PA. Since it was a Friday afternoon I was in a rush to beat the crowd! Captured using "Lapse It", an app for Android devices. This is the lite version which only captures low resolution images. I'm definitely buying the Pro version. (586 frames rendered at 20 frames per second.)

Simmons Hall at MIT

When Massachusetts Institute of Technology commissioned Steven Holl in 1999 to design a new a dormitory for the school they had one goal in sight: that the spaces around and within the building would stir up interaction among students. While MIT focused on the building’s use and function, Holl aimed to create a memorable building. ~ www.archdaily.com/65172/simmons-hall-at-mit-steven-holl/

NYC Cab Facts
Via Flickr:
Hailing a cab is as simple as stepping off the curb and holding out your arm -- it only gets complicated when you need to figure out why many New York taxis seem to drive by without stopping for you. The trick is in the lights atop the cab.
• When just the center is lit, highlighting the medallion number, the cab is available.
• When the medallion number, as well as the side lamps are lit, the cab is off-duty.
• When no lights are lit, the cab already has a fare they are bringing to a destination.

Clyde Rabbit
Via Flickr:
"Gosh, Uncle Bugs, you've been everyplace, I guess...except the moon", when Bugs replies that he's been there too, and points to newspaper clipping in the scrapbook.
After the moon story Bugs' nephew looks at him with doubt, prompty Bugs to reply: "Don't you believe me? Why if every word I've said isn't true, I hope I'm run over by a streetcar!", and suddenly a streetcar appears in the room and runs over Bugs. He then looks at his alarmed nephew and says: "I suppose you don't believe I was run over by a streetcar!" ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/His_Hare-Raising_Tale
Clyde Rabbit made his first appearance in His Hare-Raising Tale. Clyde visits his Uncle Bugs and Bugs narrates about playing baseball (Baseball Bugs), going to the moon (Haredevil Hare), and being in the military. Clyde does not believe Bugs. ~ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clyde_Rabbit
